Stress can come from major life events or daily hassles.
If hassles > uplifts, effect = negative (STRESS!!!)
If hassles < uplifts, effect = positive (HAPPY!!!)
Understanding your signs of stress and what makes you stressed is important in overcoming stress.
There are different ways of coping: feeling-based coping, stress carrying, avoidance-based coping, problem-based coping.
Each coping style has its+ and - but stress carrying is unhelpful. Different kinds of stress require different kinds of coping and it is good to be flexible abut when to use what.
